Implant Dentistry

Implant dentistry completes your smile.

Losing a tooth can be a traumatic experience for any adult. But, thanks to today’s dental implants technology and techniques, you can have a permanent replacement that looks and feels like your natural tooth.

Tooth implants consist of three parts or segments. The first part is a screw-like titanium or zirconium post that is surgically implanted into your jaw bone. The second part is called an abutment. This is attached to the post and forms a base for the crown (cap) – the third and final part. Crowns are also called restorations.

Most dentists do the final restoration themselves, but send their patients to a periodontist or oral surgeon for the initial implant post placement. This is typically more time-consuming and far less convenient for patients.

Dr. Young, on the other hand, has had special training in all phases of dental implantology. He has the experience and skill to do complete dental implants himself.

Dr. Young’s dental implant program is a university-based program in affiliation with Temple University.

Enjoy the ultimate convenience of having all your implant teeth needs taken care of in one place by one very dedicated dentist. It just might be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself.
